Language Monk LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at language-monk.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit our Site, submit a form, book a call, purchase a plan, or take lessons with us.

- Contact information — name, email address, and messages submitted through our contact form or email.
- Learning information — current Spanish level, goals, schedule, bottlenecks, teacher-fit notes, plan interest, practice or support details you choose to share.
- Booking information — name, email, and scheduling preferences submitted through our contact form, the Language Monk student app, or email for included calls, lesson-pack setup, or lessons.
- Payment-related information — purchase status, plan selected, lesson-use window, payment confirmation, and limited billing details from payment processors. We do not intentionally collect or store full payment-card numbers on this website.
- Usage data — pages visited, browser type, device information, approximate location, and standard server logs or analytics data.
- Cookies — third-party services embedded on this site may set cookies on your device. See Section 5 for details.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to inquiries and provide Spanish lessons and student-support services.
- To schedule lessons, included calls, lesson-pack setup, lesson-use windows, onboarding, and teacher handoffs.
- To recommend the right way to buy — the Starter Sprint checkout, in-app purchase, a lesson-pack path, or a written custom request.
- To send relevant updates or follow-ups related to your lessons, included call, scheduling, payments, or student support.
- To protect the Site, prevent spam, troubleshoot issues, and improve the user experience.
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers who help operate the Site and deliver services, such as our student app and hosting providers, form providers, payment processors, video-call platforms, email providers, teachers, or coaches who need the information to support the student.
4. Data Retention
We retain contact, booking, payment-confirmation, and student-support information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, resolve disputes, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at [email protected], unless retention is required for legal, tax, security, or legitimate business reasons.
5. Cookies & Third-Party Services
This Site may use third-party services that set cookies or process data, including:
- Stripe — used for secure checkout and payment processing. Stripe may set cookies and collect billing details under its own policy. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Language Monk student app (app.language-monk.com) — when you create an account, buy lesson credits, or book lessons, account and booking information is processed by our app and its service providers, including Supabase (database and hosting) and Postmark (transactional email).
- Formspree — used to process contact form submissions. See Formspree's Privacy Policy.
- YouTube — embedded videos may set cookies. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics — we use Google Analytics (loaded through Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. Google may set cookies and process usage data under its own policy. See Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Cloudflare — provides our website hosting, security, and privacy-friendly Web Analytics, which measures aggregate traffic without using cookies to track you across sites. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Video-call tools — lessons or calls may happen through Zoom, Google Meet, or another agreed platform, subject to that provider’s policies.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards for a small education business, including HTTPS, security headers, limited public checkout access, and third-party providers for forms, scheduling, and payments. No website or online service can be guaranteed 100% secure. Please do not submit passwords, full payment-card numbers, or private account credentials through the contact form.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or request a copy of your personal data, and to ask us not to "sell" or "share" it — we do not sell your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].

Our Site is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
