Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains the refund, cancellation, and rescheduling rules for Language Monk LLC. Final plan details are confirmed before payment so students understand what they are buying before they begin.

1. Plan Clarity Before Payment

Language Monk uses different first steps for different plans. The $30 Spanish Starter Sprint is a direct one-time checkout and includes a 15-minute intake call that the student sets up with us after payment. Single lessons and 5, 10, and 15-Lesson Packs are one-time purchases made inside the Language Monk app, where the lesson credits are added to the student’s account. The 15-Lesson Pack includes one strategy call with a coach.

2. Current Lesson Offers

The $30 Spanish Starter Sprint includes a 15-minute intake call, two 30-minute Spanish lessons, First Lesson Lifeline, Can-Do Checklist, Study Pack, and a simple next-step plan. The 5-Lesson Pack is $80 and includes five 30-minute lessons with no strategy call. The 10-Lesson Pack is $160 and includes ten 30-minute lessons with no strategy call. The 15-Lesson Pack is $250 and includes fifteen 30-minute lessons plus one strategy call with a coach. Custom lesson prices are not public and must be confirmed in writing before payment.

3. Lesson Use Windows

The Starter Sprint, Single Lesson, and 5, 10, and 15-Lesson Packs are one-time purchases. Each purchase has its own defined lesson window. All lessons are valid for 1 year (365 days) from the date of purchase.

Unused lessons may expire after one year. If Language Monk causes a scheduling delay, or if Language Monk confirms an extension in writing, the window may be extended fairly.

4. Lesson Length

Starter Sprint lessons, single lessons, and all current 5, 10, and 15-Lesson Pack lessons are 30 minutes. Any custom lesson length must be confirmed before payment.

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice and no-shows may count as used, unless the teacher approves a reschedule. Teachers are not required to approve short-notice rescheduling.

6. Missed Lessons

Missed lessons and late cancellations may count as used because teacher time, scheduling, onboarding, and materials are reserved for the student. Emergency situations may be reviewed by Language Monk case by case.

7. Refunds

Language Monk offers a full refund within 48 hours of purchase if no lesson has been completed. After 48 hours, purchases are final because teacher time, scheduling, onboarding, materials, and lesson-use windows are reserved. If a lesson has already been completed, that lesson is not refundable. If Language Monk approves an exception, the exception should be confirmed in writing.

8. One-Time Packs

The Starter Sprint, Single Lesson, and 5, 10, and 15-Lesson Packs are one-time purchases with a set lesson window. There is no future pack charge to cancel after purchase. Lessons already added to your account remain available within their 1-year window.

Students should contact Language Monk quickly if there is a billing issue, duplicate payment, scheduling problem, or concern about the service.
