These Terms of Service explain the basic terms for using language-monk.com and for working with Language Monk LLC. By using this website, booking a call, submitting a form, or purchasing services, you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase or use Language Monk on your own. Students aged 13 to 17 may use Language Monk only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on their behalf. Language Monk is not intended for, and we do not knowingly enroll, children under 13.
Language Monk provides online Spanish learning support that may include teacher lessons, placement/check-ins, coach support where included, guided speaking practice, practice, correction, music-based immersion, study materials, and study-roadmap support. Specific plan details, schedule, teacher assignment, coach support, lesson length, and payment terms are confirmed before a student starts.
Public pricing currently keeps the main choice simple: the $30 Spanish Starter Sprint, weekly and single-lesson packs, and coach-arranged monthly lesson packs. The $30 Starter Sprint is a direct one-time checkout and includes a 15-minute coach/founder call that the student sets up with us after payment. Weekly packs and single lessons are purchased inside the Language Monk app, where lesson credits are added to the student’s account; weekly packs have 30-minute or 1-hour options and do not include a coach call. Monthly packs have 30-minute or 1-hour options and start with a coach call to confirm the plan and start date before the student begins. Custom lesson prices must be confirmed in writing before payment.
All lessons are valid for 1 year (365 days) from the date of purchase. Monthly Packs auto-renew, and each renewal’s lessons are valid for 1 year from that renewal. Unused lessons may expire after one year unless Language Monk caused the scheduling delay or confirms an extension in writing.
Language progress depends on attendance, effort, consistency, level, outside study, and personal learning pace. Language Monk provides structure, teaching, coach support where included, and a clear system, but we do not guarantee fluency, a specific level, or a specific result by a specific date.
Students are responsible for attending scheduled lessons on time and using lessons inside the plan window. Rescheduling options, cancellation windows, missed-lesson rules, and lesson-use windows are explained before payment and may vary by plan, teacher availability, and written agreement.
Payment is processed by Stripe — either the $30 Starter Sprint checkout on the website, checkout inside the Language Monk app, or a direct link or written confirmation for coach-arranged plans. Prices, one-time lesson or pack details, included lessons, coach support where included, lesson-use window, and checkout instructions are shown on the pricing page, in the app, or confirmed directly in writing before the student begins.
Language Monk offers a full refund within 48 hours of purchase if no lesson has been completed. After 48 hours, purchases are final because teacher time, scheduling, onboarding, materials, and lesson-use windows are reserved. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice and no-shows may count as used unless the teacher approves a reschedule. Teachers are not required to approve short-notice rescheduling. Emergency situations may be reviewed by Language Monk case by case.
Students are expected to treat teachers, coaches, staff, and other students respectfully. Language Monk may refuse or discontinue service for abusive behavior, harassment, fraud, repeated missed lessons, attempted off-platform payment arrangements, or misuse of the learning environment.
Lesson materials, class notes and practice steps templates, study plans, worksheets, checklists, and Language Monk resources are for personal learning use only. They may not be copied, resold, republished, uploaded publicly, or used to create a competing service without written permission.
Students should not submit passwords, full payment-card numbers, private account credentials, or highly sensitive personal information through the contact form. Website forms, the Language Monk student app, payment processors, video platforms, and embedded media may be operated by third-party providers with their own terms and privacy policies.
The site and the Language Monk student app may use third-party services such as Stripe (payments), Formspree (contact forms), YouTube, or video-call tools. Use of those tools may also be subject to their own terms, privacy policies, and security practices.
Language Monk may update these terms as the business grows. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
